I had a cat with no tail once
Her name was Maggie and she was a Manx. I could write a children's book about Maggie going in search of her tail, wending down to the sere marshes and testing each cat tail for a fit. In the end, she rejects them all, because she likes the feel of the wind upon her nethers. The cat tails, meanwhile, never rouse from their ruffed slumbers.
